About the Role

Optical Fabricator An Optical Fabricator is a skilled technician who creates precision optics/tooling by utilizing

machines, polishing tools, and associated metrology equipment. Essential duties include operating optical machining

centers, independently running a variety of machines, performing grinding and polishing to a high standard, operating

core drill, diamond saws, and surfacing mill, and operating inspection equipment such as microscope, micrometers, height

gages, Vernier calipers, interferometer, and radius bench. The ability to read and understand both optical and

traditional blueprints, possess computer skills, and perform cleaning and cosmetic inspection of finished optics
