About the Role
Optical Fabricator An Optical Fabricator is a skilled technician who creates precision optics/tooling by utilizing
machines, polishing tools, and associated metrology equipment. Essential duties include operating and setting up optical
machining centers, independently programming and running a variety of machines, performing grinding and polishing to a
high standard using conventional methods, operating core drill, diamond saws, and surfacing mill, and operating
inspection equipment such as microscope, micrometers, height gages, Vernier calipers, interferometer, and radius bench.
The ability to read and understand both optical and traditional blueprints, possess computer skills, accurately finish
